Toys 4 Treatment: Wednesday 8th December 2010

Hi everyone, I am donating my time, expertise and resources to helping a local Childrens charity called Kid's Co. which helps Inner city children in need. All the proceeds from Wednesday the 8th December go to charity.

Please bring in presents for Kid's company or money towards a very worthwile cause, I am particularily keen on donating sports equipment as I love sport and I believe it is the best way to avoid spinal and other health issues, a happy spine and nervous system means everything else works the way it should. ie HEALTH.

Please put Wednesday the 8th December into your diary and call us to pop in for an adjustment. Remember everything goes to the KID's Co. so send in friends, bring family and let's try and pull together a bunch of sports equipment and toys for the children in need - keeping them fit and healthy.

Be well
Roger

Know Someone With Forward Head Posture?

Know Someone With Forward Head Posture?

Forward head posture
Forward head posture
No wonder you’re always tired. You have a forward head posture!
Neck pain, fatigue, carpel tunnel syndrome, TMJ syndrome, fibromyalgia, headaches ~ can how you hold your head be the cause of all these conditions? If you, or someone you know, suffers from forward head posture, and an estimated 90% of the population do, then the answer is definitely yes!
With correct head posture, the ear is centred over the shoulder. If the ear is off centre to the front of the shoulder, this is known as forward head posture. For every inch the head is forward of this centre position, it exerts an additional 10 pounds of pressure on the muscles in your neck and upper back, causing them to work harder to keep your head erect and your chin up!
But how do you get into the habit of a forward head posture? Today’s use of computers, television and video games may contribute to this condition which ultimately compresses discs and causes extensive damage.

Here are several ways to help correct this condition:

  • Receive regular chiropractic adjustments
  • Make sure your child’s backpack doesn’t exceed 15% of his body weight
  • Take regular breaks from sitting at the computer
It may be hard to believe, but how you hold your head may be an important key to your health!

Happy new you!

Healthy news and information from Roger Reid. Published monthly by Body 4 Life.
Every day you're a new you. Happy New You!

Happy New You!

One of the trillions of things your body does with no input from you, is replace old cells with healthy new ones.
It's happening right now: New stomach lining, every 5 days. New skin, every 28 days. New liver, every 42 days.
Your body creates 1,000,000,000 new cells every hour. This renewal process replaces the old you with a whole new you, allowing you to heal. It's also why continued chiropractic care can be so helpful.
Your body relies on your current pattern and structure as a guide for the placement of new cells. Regular chiropractic care helps establish new, healthier patterns and structures. This is why ongoing chiropractic care is beneficial. This has created an entirely new way to see health. It's called: wellness.
